Aqualad was back in Jump City. The first thing he wanted to do was go by Titans tower, and tell everyone he was alright. But there were things that he had to do first.

He got out of a cab, dressed in civilian clothes, at the address of what was (and could still be) the Dragon Society's mansion. He took a deep breath, trying to put the bad memories of this place, and walked onto the estate.

He felt silly coming to such a large building and knocking, but knock he did.

((sorry this took me so long to get up, Lex.))

Aqualad, or simply Garth as he was going by at the time, stood looking over a railing at Jump's waterfront. He had been living near the docks for some time now, and had come to take one last look at the sunset.

He sighed, wondering to himself whether this would be the last time he saw such a sight from this position.

It was not that his future path would be dangerous. It was, not not especially so. He was just unsure that, once he left, he would be able to come back here again.

Aqualad sat in the Nexus, on one of the Convenient Nexus couches... and quite literally looked rather worse for wear.

The Titan (former Titan?) hadn't been back to Jump in a long time, and had been staying in the Nexus since the incident with the other Elementals.

And Slizzath.

The incident still weighed on his mind, and he just put his head in his hands,
thinking and trying to rationalize what he could possibly do next to set things right.

Aqualad sighed, as he left several gifts in the control room in Titans tower. These were the ones he had left for his fellow Titans... he had either given the others to people personally or had it sent to them.

For Terra ([info]markovincognita), he had gotten her a new set of goggles (he figured that the whole "wind in your face while flying on a rock" thing was still likely an issue(, along with a music CD and a new set of gloves.

For Starfire ([info]kory_of_tamaran), he had given her a collection of Atlantean poems that he had translated and printed using the Tower computer. Interestingly enough, she would find that they turned out to be as long winded as Tamaranean poetry often was.

For Cyborg ([info]not_mr_roboto), he had gotten his former team leader a collection of disco music, and a new set of tools.

Outside of the Titans, he had already given Brooke her present, and sent a book on surfing to Ophelia ([info]islandsplash). Other than that, he had given Tramm a collection of rock-candy, which he had learned the amphibious being really enjoyed.

Aqualad smiled sadly. He figured this would be the last time in a while he'd be welcome at the Tower.

After their meeting in the Nexus, Aqualad had brought Brook to a semi-secluded spot by the waterfront; not at the shipyards, but rather, an observation point where one could get a look at the vastness of the bay without the Titans Tower taking up most of the view.

"Here we are," he said. "This is one of my favorite spots in the city, short of being underwater. You get a good look at the sea, and you can just sit and listen to the waves... none of the hustle and noise of anywhere else, yannow?" He finished that, shooting a smile.

*Aqualad sighs, as he goes through the latest deliveries to the tower - something he's personally been attending to since the incident several days ago. He figured that someone would have to take care of it, and that the others, including Terra and Beast Boy would need their space.

It's the usual stuff - bills for the tower utilities, general mail, and someone had come with several crates of fuel for the Titans' numerous vehicles. However, one particular item caught his eye - just a simple letter. Nothing out of the ordinary at all; that is, until one looked at the return address, and who it was being sent to*

... Brion Markov?

*he narrows his eyes, and heads upstairs, towards Terra's room. Once reaching it, he knocks on the door*

Terra? Are you there? There's something I need to talk to you about...

((Note - This is set prior to the mini-plot going on with the JCN characters. Anyone is free to talk to Aqualad))

*It's been a day since he returned from Atlantis with the others. The first thing he did was make a report, and send it Terra for review. But mostly? He's been keeping to himself.

Now, however, he's in the control room. He's not watching anything on the TV, and is just sitting in a chair, staring at the open water. And now, he's apparently going to start talking to himself*

... Now what am I going to do?

*Aqualad stands in the Titans Tower hangar, staring up at the T-Ship. He's made sure the vehicle is full of fuel, and that everything is working properly. That just left him to ask permission to use it - he can swim underwater, but where he's planning on going is too far to just swim to.*

...

*he sighs, and pulls out his communicator* To any Titans in the building... this is Aqualad. I'm in the hangar. Can you guys come down here, I need to ask you a question.
